How to Use the ICAR Estimator Certification Calculator

Fill in the following fields to calculate the estimated certification value of a vehicle:

  • Vehicle Age: Enter the age of the vehicle in years.
  • Mileage: Enter the total mileage of the vehicle in miles.
  • Vehicle Condition: Rate the condition of the vehicle on a scale from 0 to 10, where 10 is the best condition.
  • Number of Accidents: Enter the total number of accidents the vehicle has been in.
  • Full Service History: Enter 1 if the vehicle has a full service history, otherwise enter 0.

How it Calculates the Results

The calculator uses a base value of 100 for the calculation. The following deductions and bonuses are applied:

  • Age Deduction: 2 points per year of vehicle age.
  • Mileage Deduction: 1 point per 1000 miles.
  • Condition Bonus: 5 points per condition rating, from 0 to 10.
  • Accident Deduction: 5 points per accident.
  • Service Bonus: 10 points if the vehicle has a full service history (1).
