Handicap Estimator – Accurate Golf Handicap Calculator

Use this tool to estimate your golf handicap based on your recent scores.

Golf Handicap Estimator

Enter up to 10 of your most recent scores with the respective course ratings and slope ratings.

How It Works

The calculator uses the official USGA Handicap System:

  • Scores: Enter up to 10 of your most recent scores.
  • Course Rating: Enter the course rating for each score. This is typically found on the scorecard and reflects the difficulty of a course for a scratch golfer.
  • Slope Rating: Enter the slope rating for each score, also found on the scorecard. This number represents the relative difficulty of a course for a bogey golfer compared to a scratch golfer.

The formula used is: (Score – Course Rating) x 113 / Slope Rating. The average of the lowest differentials is then multiplied by 0.96 to give the Handicap Index.

Limitations

This estimator is designed to provide an approximate handicap index and may not reflect official handicap calculations exactly. For an official Handicap Index, consult your local golf association.
