RPM Estimator – Accurate RPM Calculation Tool

This tool will estimate your engine’s RPM based on your input parameters.

RPM Estimator

This RPM Estimator calculates the revolutions per minute (RPM) of an electric motor based on the input frequency (in Hertz), the number of poles, and the slip percentage. Simply enter the required values and click the “Calculate” button to get the RPM.

How to Use:

  1. Enter the frequency in Hertz (Hz).
  2. Enter the number of poles of the motor.
  3. Enter the slip percentage (must be between 0 and 100).
  4. Click “Calculate” to get the RPM.

How It Calculates:

The formula used for the calculation is:

Synchronous Speed (in RPM) = (Frequency * 120) / Number of Poles

Then, the actual RPM is calculated as:

RPM = Synchronous Speed * (1 – (Slip / 100))

Limitations:

  • The frequency must be greater than 0.
  • The number of poles must be a positive integer.
  • The slip percentage must be between 0 and 100 (exclusive).
  • This calculator assumes an ideal motor, actual motors may have additional factors affecting the RPM.
